Michael Arrington: Don’t Buy The HTC EVO, It Is A Seriously Flawed Device

In General on Thursday, 10 June 2010 at 15:00

If you want an Android phone right now, get a Nexus One. In January I believed it was by far the best phone on the market. The new iPhone 4, though, is clearly superior. I’d rather see you buy that device and deal with the Apple dictatorship than get a phone you aren’t going to be happy with.

Pretty strong words from Arrington. Especially when you consider that he abhors Apple, and has all but turned TechCrunch into a Google PR machine.

  1. Seems to me like we in the Apple world like to point out Arrington’s idiocy when he’s trying to out-tablet Apple or generally being a google shrill, but then when he says something minutely favorable to Apple, suddenly he’s a source worth considering again?Forget Arrington, he’s living proof that even otherwise intelligent people are easily duped into believing people who loudly proclaim “look at me, I’m an expert on something.”

  2. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

  3. Scottaw,Fair point, but my post wasn’t really about his pseudo iPhone recommendation (I mean, “dictatorship”, really?), but rather that he HATES the flavor-of-the-week Android darling EVO despite his Google/Android love.
